Mission Work
General contracting and construction project management have been the foundation of my career since the early 1980's. I have completed hundreds of commercial projects spanning North America, the Caribbean, and the upper regions of South America. These projects were primarily in multi-unit residential complexes, hospitality lodging, medical facilities, and FEMA disaster relief. The FEMA disaster relief projects included a 70,000 sq. ft. modular hospital and an 80-acre emergency modular housing development on ST. Croix, USVI after hurricane Hugo devastated the island. In the fall of 2015, I embarked on a new journey stepping down from my construction company. I committed to the Lord that I would give back what he had provided for me in my 40-year career. I started traveling and performing volunteer mission work. Teaming up with architects and engineers from my past, we have formed a volunteer design build group. Our latest two projects that we are currently working on are a prosthetic limb lab in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and a physical therapy unit in Chogoria, Kenya, to support the recently completed prosthetic limb lab. The prosthetic limb lab in Chogoria, Kenya has been a life-changer for many people in that region and serves as a conduit to spread the ministry of God.
Throughout my life and working career, I have acquired a set of skills and talents that I now realize was God preparing me to do this work. There truly is a living God.
Sincerely,
Drew Lawson
