Welcome to West Main
Baptist Church

At the heart of West Main Baptist Church is our unwavering mission: to bring all that God has bestowed upon us to the saving grace of Christ Jesus. We are dedicated to reaching out to those in need, striving to manifest the love of God and the Truth of His nature in all that we do.

Our commitment to helping others often takes shape in collaboration with various community programs. As the hands and feet of Jesus, we have a solemn duty to lead by example and assist those within our means. Some of our Outreach Programs include:

Annual Women’s Conference

Our Annual Women’s Conference is a cherished tradition at West Main Baptist Church. It's a time when women from all walks of life come together to celebrate their faith, strength, and the unique role they play in our church and community. This empowering event is a source of inspiration, renewal, and connection.

During the conference, we offer a diverse range of workshops and sessions, addressing various aspects of a woman's life-spiritual, emotional, physical, and relational. It's an opportunity for personal growth and enrichment, where you can deepen your relationship with God and find the support and encouragement you need to face life's challenges with grace and resilience.

In Loving Memory of Linda DeBord Osborne
Linda DeBord Osborne, age 73, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Jo Ella DeBord; and her sister, Reva Moore.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and cherished member of the West Main Baptist Church. As the beloved wife of a pastor, Linda devoted herself to the service of the church community. She loved to worship and sing with all of her church family. She poured her heart into the ministry, sharing her unwavering faith and love for God with others. Linda taught Sunday School and was always very involved with all of the children of the church. Beyond her dedication to the church, Linda's love knew no bounds when it came to her family. Her two grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and they affectionately called her "Mimi". She showered them with warmth, love, and wisdom. Linda always kept her house spotless and welcoming, which was a great reflection of her nurturing spirit. One thing she always cherished in life was the annual family vacation spending time with all of her family and creating memories.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her husband of 53 years, Willis Osborne; her son, Chad Osborne and wife Tina; brother, Robert DeBord; two grandchildren, Grace and Ty Osborne; two nieces, Jackie Plumbar, and Laura Pierce; and nephew, Isaiah Mitchell.
